久留米絣の産地に眠っている余剰在庫を活用するために、カラフルな糸をランダムに使用した虹のような絣生地のデザインを考案しました。このシリーズは、在庫糸の状況により、使用できる色が変わるので、その時にしか生まれない1点ものの布を生産することができます。 その時の気候や季節に左右されるため、二度と同じ色を見ることのできない『虹』のような繊細で希少な織物シリーズです。
In order to make use of surplus stock of threads dormantly stored in production areas, I came up with an idea of using those threads randomly that resulted in the colorful rainbow-like Ikat design. In this collection, This ‘ Rainbow Ikat’ colors change depending on the availability of the yarn in stock, allowing you to produce one-of-a-kind piece of cloth that can only be created at that specific time. Thus this collection becomes almost like a rainbow that can only be seen at the specific time of a specific season and a climate. The resulting cloth wll also bear sensitive and priceless impressions like the rainbow.
